WWE: 5 Reasons Why A John Cena Heel-Turn Won't Solve Anything
3. It Could Just Be A Swerve
Remember when Daniel Bryan supposedly turned heel and joined the Wyatt Family? And then turned face again just two weeks later because it had all been a swerve. Well that was a good thing because fans love Daniel Bryan. They want to cheer him. They were relieved when they found out his heel turn was just a swerve. Now imagine the reaction if the same thing happened with John Cena. Fans often complain about the WWE's stale booking and predictable stories. If John Cena was to turn heel, and then suddenly turn back just two weeks later, fans would be furious. To have their hopes realized, only to have the rug pulled out so soon, only to return to same old Super Cena would instigate more backlash at the company. And after all the Yes Movements and Hijack Raws, WWE really doesn't need to give fans anymore reasons to complain. Something as major as a John Cena heel-turn (if it ever does happen), should be saved for a time when WWE knows how to book it correctly. Something that big should not just be thrown out there for a cheap ratings grab for a week or two. The only problem is; can WWE be trusted to book it right?
As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG.
I may have a problem!
But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
