3. Edge
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMaT0B9uRfY Edge's last match came at WrestleMania XVII, defeating Alberto Del Rio in a defence of his World Heavyweight Championship and was able to retire as champion a week or so later. It was more low key than Flair's since the match with Del Rio opened the show and it was unknown at the time that Edge would have to retire due to his ongoing neck problems. It's a bit of a shame in hindsight that the fans weren't officially told that this would be Edge's last match, win or lose, as it would have created a great WrestleMania moment where the crowd could have shown their appreciation to the Rated-R Superstar. That would, of course, come on the Monday Night Raw when he announced his retirement - sparking loud 'Thank You Edge' chants in what was an emotional segment. Edge's retirement was legitimate due to the aforementioned neck issues, so he's not wrestled a match since in the WWE or anywhere else. He's made sporadic appearances since, including at Extreme Rules a few weeks after his retirement where he aided his best friend Christian in winning the World Heavyweight Championship that Edge had vacated. Edge was subsequently inducted into the Hall of Fame a year later in 2012 by Christian, the crowning moment of a career in which he won 11 world titles, 12 tag team titles and various midcard singles belts.
