WWE: 5 Ways To Make Roman Reigns Split From The Shield Work

3. An Endorsement From Another Anoa'i Family Member

The Rock 2013 Wwe Champion As most WWE fans know, Roman Reigns is a member of the celebrated Anoa'i family, one of the most popular and successful pro wrestling families of all time. The Headshrinkers, The Wild Samoans, Rikishi, Umaga, The Usos and of course The Rock, all of them come from the Anoa'i clan. And as of this writing, Roman's family heritage has rarely ever been mentioned, if at all. But when he splits from The Shield and becomes a singles star, the time for discretion will be over. The reason for that is WWE will need to get him over in a very big way. Relying solely on his face turn to succeed in the company will likely not be enough. Getting the endorsement from either The Usos or The Rock will go a long way to giving Roman the rub and establishing him as a star that fans can feel good about supporting. Of course there is the fact that The Shield destroyed The Rock back in 2013 on Monday Night Raw. So perhaps a public endorsement from Rocky could come from Roman saving him during a special appearance one night on WWE programming. Despite how it happens, it definitely should happen. The need to keep Roman's heritage under wraps in order to separate him from The Usos and the other popular members of his family and keep him heel will end. There would be no reason to not acknowledge where he comes from; it would go a long way to establishing where he's going.
