WWE: 5 WCW Match Types That Should Return

1. Tower Of Doom

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XdfHW1r_6U Surly for most War Games was a lock for the number one spot. Hell it could have taken up all five being the only half-way decent WCW exclusive match. But the concept was simple, and lacking a certain flair to really make it stand out. That's where number one comes in, The Tower of Doom. A triple decker cage match. Three cages stacked on top of one another and a compaction that Tony Schiavone himself described as better than the MLB World Series and NFL Superbowl combined. If you haven't heard of the Tower of Doom well that's no surprise. There was only one ever held back in 1996 at WCW'S Uncensored PPV. The immortal Hulk Hogan would join forces with the late great Macho Man Randy Savage (May he rest in peace) to do battle with a collection of WCW'S most vicious villains known as the Alliance to end Hulkamania. Eight men would do whatever they could to put a stop to the team of Hogan and Savage AKA The Mega Powers. The goal of the match was simple, Hogan and Savage would start in the top cage and have to fight their way down. Only once they had reached the final cage could the match be won via pinfall or submission. While this match is regarded as one of the worst matches in WCW history not all the blame can be put squarely on the stipulation. There were many other factors that made Tower of Doom one big joke. Mainly Hulk Hogan and his never ending quest to inflate his own ego. The Hulkster and Macho Man were made out to be unstoppable easily disposing of WCW'S top bad guys only to finally be brought to their knees by Z-Gangster and the Ultimate Solution. Who are they you ask? Well they're actors, Z-Gangster might be better known to some as Zeus from Hulk Hogan's film €œNo Holds Barred€ while Ultimate Solution delighted fans as Bane in Batman and Robin. The Tower of Doom itself is a solid concept, and one WWE should take a crack at. Picture it, John Cena and The Rock team up one time only to take on WWE'S most hated of heels in the Tower of Doom. Now that would be something to see.
