Batista's last feud in WWE saw him as a heel that opposed John Cena in early 2010. Most of his promos involved him talking about how he and Cena each became top guys around the same time since both men won major titles at WrestleMania 21 in 2005. Batista won the World Title from Triple H while Cena won the WWE Title from JBL at that show. From there, Cena moved on to become the face of Monday Night Raw while most of Batista's run at the top was as the face of the Smackdown brand. Their feud made a lot of sense in 2010. Everything Batista said worked because if you're a fan that's anti-Cena he was hitting on a lot of the points that Cena haters will point is. In doing so, Batista also became a very entertaining heel just because he was so over the top in everything he said. Now that Batista is back, it's likely he'll be a babyface. Since Cena is also a babyface without a heel turn in sight (sorry internet wrestling fans), it's unlikely that their paths will cross again anytime soon.
