WWE: 6 Batista Predictions For 2014

3. He Will Get Injured For A Significant Amount Of Time

Batista Edited 1 There was a common theme during Batista's nearly five year run as a top guy in WWE: injuries. While you can make the case that injuries are a part of the business just because of the physical grind of wrestling, the reality is that Batista was one of the most injured main event level guys that WWE ever had. His injury history is long with two triceps tears in 2003, a muscle tear in his back in 2005, another triceps tear later in 2005 and in 2009 he suffered a torn biceps as well. That's a lot of surgery over the span of about six years. These are also injuries that are not common for the average person. That's not to suggest that he's using some kind of substances and even if he is, does it really matter in pro wrestling? The Wellness Policy exists, but does everybody get tested the same and as often? That's another topic for another time. At age 45 when you consider his past and the kind of body that he has, it's unlikely that he is going to last two full years without going on the sidelines at some point. For his sake, hopefully he's able to stay healthy during this run. Based on his history, the chances of it are unlikely. Don't get me wrong. I don't want the guy getting hurt. I just think it's unlikely that he'll last the whole year without missing time.
