2. The Inevitable Media Push For Guardians Of The Galaxy

The official release date for Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy is August 1, 2014. The movie stars Chris Pratt, Benicio Del Toro, Bradley Cooper and a star studded cast for Marvel Comics' second wave of big screen adaptations. The film also stars Batista, a fact that you can be sure is not lost on WWE. Even though we're still over eight months from the film's release, the fact is that Batista's involvement in the project will likely be mentioned from day one of his return to WWE. This will surely continue through The Animal's entire run and if he is still on the roster when the movie comes out, then the media blitz by WWE will certainly be epic. Vince McMahon is a very savvy businessman, very aware of the influence that pop culture has on the fans of his product. He has used this influence to his advantage over the years, primarily with WrestleMania. He brought pro wrestling to the masses and every time he has the opportunity to cross over into the mainstream with WWE, he does so. And this will be especially true when Marvel Studios begins promoting Guardians of the Galaxy to fans and casual moviegoers all over the world. McMahon's people will definitely be part of this, reminding fans that a physically imposing charismatic WWE Superstar is featured heavily in the movie. This is one of those instances of both sides contributing for the sake of one performer. We have seen it in the past with The Rock of course and now that Batista is headed for Hollywood stardom, WWE will surely be along for the ride. And that is definitely good for business.
