WWE: 6 Reasons Batista's Return Is The Right Move

1. The Likely Showdown With Randy Orton

Randy Orton1 When Triple H formed Evolution with Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista in 2003, the idea was very simple. He wanted to show the transition of the business from one generation to the next, giving the two younger performers an invaluable platform to shine and establish themselves for the future. Both Orton and Batista took full advantage of this, stepping up more than fans perhaps realized they would. They became the stars that WWE wanted and they did it all because the door was opened for them to succeed. And now another door could be opening for the two Evolution alumni to face off once again. Orton has been riding high as The Authority's chosen one, the man hand selected by The Game to headline as the face of WWE. And while his run has been challenged by both Daniel Bryan and Big Show, the fact is that no one has been able to topple Orton from the spot that he enjoys. He sits at the right hand of Triple H, the heir apparent to the throne of WWE. I wonder how The Game's other favorite son feels about how all of this turned out. Batista will not only have an opinion on Randy's new run as WWE's top star, he will likely have a challenge. And the potential of Batista versus Orton on pay-per-view, perhaps even WrestleMania 30, is an angle that practically writes itself. The fact is that WWE has so much back-story behind this match to work with that marketing it to fans will be a breeze. I believe there is big money to be made with this match and even bigger money in the ratings that would lead up to it. And despite when it happens, Orton versus Batista will be a must-see match for WWE fans. And all of this means that bringing Batista back to the company is definitely the right move.
