5. The Table - Terry Funk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ab8QcVhr42E I know what you're thinking, so before you hit the comments at the bottom and lambast me for not putting the Dudley Boys here let me explain. I realized fully the Dudley Boys are by far the people who have made the table famous as a weapon in wrestling. No contest, but this is my list and I have chosen to list as the popularizes the wrestler which I think of when said weapon is brought into conversation, and when it comes to the table, it will always be my fellow Texas son, Terry "by God" Funk. I am a lifelong wrestling fan. Been watching off and on since I was a kid. One of my favorite wrestlers of all time is the one and only Ricky Steamboat. He was the man, and one of his most legendary feuds was with the Nature Boy Ric Flair. The Flair-Steamboat trilogy is one of my favorite series of matches of all time, and is probably still number 1 on that list. Their matches were epic. The stuff of legend. The final match of their trilogy featured a post match angle in which Mr. Funk himself congratulated Mr. Flair on winning the gold. Funk, in his wedding best tuxedo, then preceded to beat the stylin' and profilin' out of Ric Flair, culminating in delivering a devastating piledriver onto the ringside table. You can talk about the Dudley's putting every 75 pound woman and cruiserweight wrestler through 57 tables, but I will never forget the 1st time I saw Terry Funk bounce Ric Flair's head off of that table. It's the 1st image that pops in my head when I hear about tables in wrestling, and in fact, it was the image that popped in my head when I first read this topic. So for my money, Funk is the one who made the table famous. Other wrestlers: The Dudley Boys, New Jack
