WWE: 6 Superstars Who Could Replace Roman Reigns In The Shield

5. Brodus Clay

The former Funkasaurus seems determined to leave his goofy dancing image in the past. A move to The Shield could do it! It may strain credulity to look at him now, but before Clay moved to the main roster, his vignettes made him look like a monster. It was actually him who came up with the "Hall of Pain" gimmick that eventually went to Mark Henry, whereas poor Brodus got stuck with Rikishi's old one. But since breaking away from his former dancing partners, he's been kind of adrift. This could be just the direction he needs. That being said, Clays past as the big dancing guy seems to have damaged his credibility beyond repair in the immediate future. For maximum effectiveness, he needs a bit of time away from the spotlight before coming to re-establish himself as a monster heel. Besides, where are you going to find a protective vest to fit him?? Personally, I don't see it. In time, if he doesn't end up Future Endeavoured, Clay could make it as the monster heel he was supposed to be. Would he benefit from joining The Shield? Definitely. Would The Shield benefit having him as a member? No. Odds: 95-1
