The Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California was the host venue of WrestleMania XII and an Iron Man match between the 'Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels and Bret Hitman Hart. In 1996, extravagant entrances at WrestleMania werent commonplace. The World Wrestling Federation was still growing and even in the events twelfth outing it was yet to reach the spectacle that it is today. Michaels entrance at Mania XII is without doubt one of the most spectacular entrances in the events 29-year history. Before challenging the Hitman for his WWE Championship, the Showstopper made his way to the ring from a zipline suspended from the rafters; a feat never previously experienced at a WWE event. Mr WrestleMania went on to steal the show, defeating Hart and capturing his very first WWE Championship.
