2. Cody Rhodes
Though Cody Rhodes is arguably as over right now as he ever has been (thanks to forming a tremendous team with his brother Goldust), the fact remains that, save for a brief singles stint, Cody Rhodes has mostly been a tag team wrestler in WWE. If Rhodes wants to break out and become a major player, he will need to conquer an established superstar. That superstar could very well be Batista. The two do have some history. Rhodes was a member of "The Legacy"--a faction that feuded with Batista throughout 2008 and 2009. But a new feud shouldn't be about settling old scores, it should be about moving Cody Rhodes from the mid-card to the main event. It would be on Rhodes to sell the match both on the microphone and in the ring. But if he could do that, and walk away with a victory, the son of "The American Dream" would be well on his way to the top of the WWE.
