WWE: 7 Possible Plot Twists For Elimination Chamber 2014
3. Sheamus Joins The Authority
The problems between Randy Orton and The Authority are well documented. Basically, Triple H and Stephanie feel that The Viper is not fulfilling his role as the face of WWE while Orton feels that he is constantly being disrespected by the ones that put him in that role to begin with. Every week sees another chapter written in the ongoing saga between these three and every week fans are waiting for the other shoe to drop. How long will this continue until something changes? The answer to that could lie in the Elimination Chamber match, in which Orton is defending his WWE World Championship against five other Superstars. One of those Superstars is Sheamus, who could perhaps embark on a whole new direction during that match. The truth is that from the moment Sheamus returned from injury, he has not exactly been one of the most compelling attractions in the company. The biggest reason for that is because he has had no real storyline with anyone. No heat and no rivalry means that fans have had no real reason to be interested in anything that The Celtic Warrior is doing at all. He's practically standing still with nowhere to go. But what happens if he changes course and joins The Authority? What if Orton finds himself in trouble during the Chamber match, just on the verge of perhaps losing the belt to Daniel Bryan, only to find backup in Sheamus? Imagine these Superstars as the last three in the Chamber. Bryan pins Sheamus but instead of leaving, The Great White remains in the ring. Bryan gets Orton in the Yeslock and just when it seems Randy will tap out, Sheamus makes the save? He delivers the Brogue kick to Daniel and Orton gets the pin. Sheamus then helps Randy up and fans begin to realize just what they've witnessed; The Authority has screwed Daniel Bryan once again. It's a well known fact among WWE fans that Sheamus and Hunter are friends behind the scenes. Indeed, much of the spotlight that Sheamus has received over the years is likely thanks to the influence of Triple H. What if if that relationship is made public knowledge on the air? What if leads to Sheamus joining forces with WWE's ruling class and establishing himself as a new top heel in the company? Sheamus needs a new direction in WWE. And that direction could be realized at the Elimination Chamber.
