WWE: 7 Predictions For John Cena's Future

6. He Will Lose A Match To Brock Lesnar

Two years ago at Extreme Rules, John Cena defeated Brock Lesnar in a violent battle that saw Cena bleed and use a chain to help him put down "The Beast" in his first WWE match in eight years. A lot of fans were puzzled by the move because it didn't make sense for Lesnar to lose his first match back in WWE after all these years. Quite frankly, it still doesn't make sense. Lesnar's currently in a position where WWE has invested a lot in him because he beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. He's signed with the company until WrestleMania 31 in 2015 at which point we don't know what he'll do next. Perhaps he'll try for a UFC comeback although as a guy in his late 30s that wouldn't be smart. Maybe he'll sign another deal with WWE. What we know is that between now and WrestleMania 31 they will likely book him to win every match he has whether that's just two matches or three. There's no reason for him to lose prior to WM31. What WWE will need to do is feed Lesnar some credible opponents to beat. There's nobody more credible than Cena. They could do a match like that at Survivor Series, which would help that struggling event. Lesnar could avenge the loss he had while going over another top guy before he heads to WrestleMania 31 where he could lose a big match to whoever WWE sets up for him whether that's Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan or somebody else. Seeing Cena vs. Lesnar one more time would be a lot of fun. The Extreme Rules match in 2012 was one of the best brawls in WWE history and it's been long enough that most fans would love to see them go at it one more time.
