WWE: 7 Recent Tag Team Breakups That Didn't Help Anyone

4. Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne (Air Boom)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjAai5PdI1U There was no official breakup for this exciting babyface tag team that had a good run as tag team champions, but due to Evan Bourne's inactivity they haven't reunited. It's hard to explain why Bourne hasn't been seen in over two years. While he did fail two Wellness Tests in late 2011 (30 day suspension) and early 2012 (60 day suspension), it was expected that the team would keep going when he returned. That never happened because Bourne broke his foot in four places in March 2012 and hasn't been seen on WWE TV since then. He's reportedly in ring shape or close to it, but no word on when he might return. Air Boom had something special as a team. Kingston and Bourne are two of the best athletes on the roster. They just clicked. Like we say all the time, you can't just fake chemistry like that. Those two had it. Kingston ended up teaming with R-Truth for a several months and while they did okay, they weren't as good as Air Boom. Maybe if Evan Bourne comes back they'll be reunited. It's not something we can put a timetable on because Bourne's health continues to remain a mystery to fans. It's been two years.
