WWE: 7 Recent Tag Team Breakups That Didn't Help Anyone

3. Shad & JTG (Cryme Tyme)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV9It33EiHs The team of Shad Gaspard and JTG were regulars in WWE from late 2006 until April 2010. That's a long time to team together without ever holding the tag team titles. Part of the reason for no title reigns is because they were a comedic team in a lot of ways, but a case could be made that they deserved a run due to how popular they were with the fans. As soon as their music hit, the crowd cheered for them and they were good enough in the ring to make the fans continue to support them during their matches. They actually were fired from WWE for a few months from September 2007 to March 2008, but when they came back it was if they hadn't missed a beat. Their antics remained the same as babyfaces that did funny things to entertain the fans. The split happened in 2010 following WrestleMania with Shad going heel. They ended up having a really boring Strap Match at Extreme Rules that JTG won. Shad was released from the company in late 2010 and currently is working as an actor. Ever since they broke up four years ago, fans have made jokes about how JTG is still with the company even though he doesn't do anything. He does work house shows fairly regularly, but it's rare to see him on any of the television shows. If the team kept teaming up they could have continued to have success together and possibly even a tag title reign or two along the way as well.
