7. Learn From Past Experiences

It's important to learn things from your first time going, so you don't repeat the same errors the second time around. The first time I went to WrestleMania was in Atlanta in 2011 when I was watching Raw the night that The Rock returned (I'll always remember it was February 14) and it inspired me to go. My friend Dave and I didn't put too much planning into the trip. We left from Detroit (took me two hours to get there first) and then went on a 12 hour trek to Atlanta from there. I don't recommend a 12 hour drive to anybody, but my buddy Dave is an awesome driver that did a wonderful job of getting us there. Plus, we got to eat Kentucky Fried Chicken in the actual state of Kentucky during the trip. Can't beat that. The hotel accommodations were okay. A friend let us know he had room in his room, so we all shared that and it was good enough. Could have been bigger, but you get what you pay for when you have last minute accommodations. Do I regret paying money to watch WrestleMania 27 in person? Yes. Between Cole/Lawler, Snooki in a match and a really boring main event it was not a fun show at all. The only highlight of the night was that Undertaker/Triple H match, but even that was marred a bit because we were sitting in the second deck. When I went to WrestleMania 28 in Miami I was better prepared. Paid for the flight, had a much better hotel, went with a bigger group of friends and really just enjoyed all of it. It was a lot less stressful and less tiring. Plus, Miami's an awesome city to visit. Atlanta? It's just okay. It's pretty simple: The more you plan things beforehand, the more you will enjoy it while you're there.
