4. The Undertaker vs. Triple H - WrestleMania 27
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6Ll_7RMzsE The first WrestleMania I saw in person was WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta. I didn't go the ones in Detroit (3 and 22) or Toronto (6 and 18) for various reasons. The reason I went to this one was because I was so excited to see The Rock back that I figured it was worth the trip. It wasn't a flight, though. We drove about 12 hours to get there. Looking back at WrestleMania 27's lackluster card, do I regret going that far for it? Yes and no. While I regret paying any money to witness people like Snooki and Michael Cole in matches on the card, it's the WrestleMania experience that mattered more than anything. Our seats weren't great for the show. We were in the 200 level with cables blocking our view because we were seated behind where the main cameras were. The interesting thing was that we were a few rows in front of an area where WWE performers were seated in private boxes. All these WWE legends as well as people on the roster were within 20 feet of us. You could see the likes of Terry Funk, Ted Dibiase, Jim Duggan and dozens of others right there. When we were bored, we'd yell for them and they'd wave. A little thing like that made the experience more fun. As for the Undertaker/Triple H match, it was different than Undertaker's matches with Shawn Michaels because one was much more brutal. They kicked each other's asses. Hunter really took it to him with three Pedigrees and even a Tombstone Piledriver. What was most memorable was that Undertaker won the match after 30 minutes, but needed to be carted out after it was over. It was so rare. It was my first live WrestleMania and it was so surreal to see Undertaker getting carted out. We thought he was legit hurt. Little did we know it was done to set up another match with Triple H one year later.
