WWE: 7 Wrestlers Who Could Make Evolution Better

1. CM Punk

Okay, so this one is probably dreaming. Still, it would be fun. It's doubtful that we'll see CM Punk in a WWE ring anytime soon, if ever, again. But imagine how much heat he could draw if he appeared out of nowhere to join Evolution and battle The Shield and Daniel Bryan. While it does sound unlikely, you would have to think that it's at least possible. Maybe before Punk decides he wants to leave the business for good, he'd actually like to put someone else over on the way out. If he lost to guys like Roman Reigns and Bryan cleanly, that would help their standing in the eyes of fans. It sounded like some of the reasons that Punk left WWE were because his body was beat up, and he didn't want to wrestle HHH at WrestleMania XXX. With a few months off, maybe his body is now feeling well enough to finish out the final few months of his contract. Then he can vacation for the rest of his life if he wants to. Also, if he wasn't competing with Hunter on-air, he wouldn't have to worry as much about how his character would look coming out of the feud. He could agree to put over the guys that he wants to, and go out on his terms. While the CM Punk chants appear to be dying out on Raw and SmackDown, you can't help but feel the crowd would absolutely explode if he showed up again. They'd be thrilled to see their hero back, and would then feel shock and anger if he turned on them. Imagine the Straight Edge Punk finally selling out to The Authority and slapping on a suit and tie. It could generate great heat if he found the motivation to enlist for a couple last months. While Punk in Evolution doesn't seem like the first thing you'd do with him, it could end up being fantastic if booked correctly. It would also give fans a chance to actually say goodbye to one of their favorites.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
