6. Stealing Daniel Bryan's Spot

Having stirred the pot before coming back, Batista full on smashed the pot open when he returned at Royal Rumble. In what will go down as the most hated Rumble finish EVER, Batista entered towards the end and won. He was meant to be a babyface, he was meant to be getting cheered wildly. What actually happened was he got booed out of the building, with some fans walking straight out. The reason for this was that fans were furious that Daniel Bryan had not been featured in the Royal Rumble. As the most popular star in WWE it made absolute sense for Bryan to win the Rumble and go on to main event Wrestlemania. Fans blamed this not happening on Batista, who they viewed had come in and stole Bryan's spot. As such, Batista has played a role in the wave of controversy that has washed over WWE since Sunday. Even mainstream media such as the BBC have reported on WWE fan fury at Batista winning the Rumble instead of Bryan. Does The Animal actually deserve any blame for being the centre piece of all of this? Possibly. The Mania program may have been something he pushed for in his new contract. The real blame has to belong with the WWE creative team really, they did Batista no favours by allowing him to win the Rumble. Daniel Bryan was the right choice as winner, instead Batista was picked to win and now WWE have all sorts of creative headaches to deal with. How on earth can Dave Batista main event Wrestlemania 30 with Randy Orton when both men are so hated?
