5. Pushing CM Punk Out Of WWE

The Batista return at the Royal Rumble was the catalyst for the Daniel Bryan controversy, but perhaps the much bigger outcome was the reaction of CM Punk. It appears that Punk has quit WWE, with his issues all stemming from Batista's return. It isn't that Punk has a problem with Batista, in fact they're friends, but Punk has expressed his unhappiness at Batista coming back to take a spot he doesn't deserve. To make matter worse, Punk feels Daniel Bryan should have been in the position Batista is in - so imagine Punk's fury when he found out WWE were now putting Bryan in his place against Triple H at Wrestlemania. Inadvertently Batista had ruined Punk's long anticipated match with The Game. If the WWE and Batista had been doing business naturally, Bryan would be the Rumble winner and Punk would be facing Triple H. Instead Batista is front and centre, with Bryan and Punk despondent. The controversy continues to circulate on social media, with vocal WWE fans offering Bryan and Punk support. By all accounts, Punk has seen and heard enough, leaving WWE on Monday. If Batista hadn't won the Rumble there is pretty good reason to believe that CM Punk would still be with the company today.
