WWE: 8 Most Glaring Omissions From The Undertaker's Streak

7. The Undertaker vs. Mick Foley - WrestleMania XV

King of the Ring 1998 contains one of the most iconic moments in WWE history. Most fans probably can't recall who won the tournament that night off the top of their heads (it was Ken Shamrock), but they do remember Undertaker vs. Mankind in a Hell in a Cell match. That was the night when Foley became a legend by taking a beating that had not been seen before, or since in a WWE ring. Foley was tossed off the top of the cage right through an announcers table. He should have called it a night right there. But a few minutes later, he was chokeslammed through the top of the cage and then continued to be beat senseless. It remains a classic match, much more so than Undertaker's next Hell in a Cell match against The Big Bossman at WrestleMania XV. That encounter was a bit of a dud. Both men were heels at the time, and were unable to come anywhere close to the high standards that previous Cell matches had attained. They just didn't work well together, and the crowd had no reason to support either man. A Hell in a Cell rematch between Taker and Foley at Mania XV would surely have been far more memorable, and helped out the overall card. Of course, it would have been foolish to try and top what the two did before from a physical standpoint, but they could have come up with something to keep the fans engaged. Those two locking up would have also saved us from a bland Paul Wight/Mankind match. Foley and Taker have always worked well together, and having Mankind on Taker's list of WrestleMania victims would have been a great way to have ended their feud once and for all.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
