WWE: 8 Most Glaring Omissions From The Undertaker's Streak

3. The Undertaker vs. Hulk Hogan - WrestleMania XIX

If Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon hadn't gone down at WrestleMania 19 would many people would have been upset? If Undertaker vs. The Big Show and A-Train didn't ever happen would anyone have been upset? Well, besides Big Show and A-Train themselves, probably not. At the very least, had Undertaker and Hulk Hogan battled at XIX, it wouldn't have led to Hogan eventually turning into Mr. America. During Hogan's 2002/2003 WWE run he did do battle with Undertaker at Judgment Day...and yeah, it wasn't very good. But part of the reason was that Hogan was over-pushed to ridiculous proportions at the time. WWE turned his nostalgic popularity into a full-time act when they gave him the WWE Title. It got old pretty fast. Pay-per-view matches against Taker, HHH and Kurt Angle were just too much. Had his appearances been further spaced out, and built up, it had the potential to feel like a series of dream matches. One of those matches could have been Undertaker vs. Hogan at WrestleMania 19. Sure, McMahon vs. Hogan was pretty unique, but McMahon just isn't much of a wrestler. Had Taker and Hogan battled in a street fight, they could have masked some of Hogan's weaknesses. And with Hogan losing to Taker (if he would agree to that...which perhaps isn't that likely), that would leave one less glaring omission from his legendary streak. And if Taker didn't battle Hogan at Mania, there is one other legend that he could have added to his list that night...

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
