4. The McMahons
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMp8aDH8d9M Who was the greatest heel in the history of modern wrestling? Vince McMahon, thats who. His feud with Austin was one for the ages and to this day, is unlikely to be bettered for sheer emotion. But thats not what Im getting at here, Im simply asking for a good heel authority figure and only a McMahon can fill this role. We all know that Vince is backstage at every RAW so why doesnt he fulfil the role of on air authority instead of the likes of Vicki Guerrero etc. Vicki draws heat but putting a feud or match over is definitely not her thing but it was most definitely Vinces. The problem is Vince enjoys the cheers he gets nowadays. Authority figures in wrestling are a must, history proves that, but they must be believable. Again, Vicki doesnt fill this too well as she is just an employee of the machine therefore lacks any actual authority and we all know it. If Vince loves the cheers and the adulation he gets when he walks out nowadays then maybe someone else could be that guy. Triple H has been a heel for the majority of his career and his more recent turn to be a face just doesnt sit well. He simply isnt the same if hes not being an ass. Most will know by now that Triple H has nearly all the power backstage and is the obvious choice to be the boss everyone would love to smack in the face. The mere fact that Trips can actually go in the ring would add a whole new dimension to the WWE authority figure. Im not saying he should involve himself physically in feuds but its an avenue that could lead to some interesting programmes. What would make the scenario work even more is if Steph could be shown on TV more. The true power couple of the WWE could take over from Vince in a hard hitting personal storyline that cements Trips and Steph as the sole runners of the WWE on screen. Creating two power hungry heel figures all at the same time and an excuse to rid TV of Vince so he could potentially take that step back that maybe he needs to do.
