1. The King of the Ring Pay Per View
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jWvHiGmTPU The majority of the past entries in this list have a lot to do with Vince wanting and willing to create the next poster boy of the entire industry. He wants his talent to fly solo so he can see what sticks and push them to the stars, he wants the talent to take up TV time ahead of authority figures so that fans can try and associate with them. When its all said and done he could very well be correct, but Vince simply cannot ignore the tournament that made some of the biggest stars in the modern history of wrestling. Names like Stone Cold, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar and Edge all won the King Of The Ring and went on to have unbelievably successful careers. The tournament was set up to create the stars of tomorrow by making the midcarders and jobbers the centre of attention during a period of several weeks leading to the PPV and the list above just proves how successful it was. The past 3 King of The Ring winners have all had their build up take place on free TV with the final taking place on PPV. The PPV used to work so well with the Semis and even Quarter finals taking place and it added much more prestige to both the tournament and the event. With so much time and effort being laid down for the part time stars as we run into the final furlong of WrestleMania, a KOTR tournament would be the perfect way to get the midcarders and jobbers TV time. Allowing them to re-establish themselves on TV once the part-timers leave once again after Extreme Rules! If Vince wants to push a Superstar who as yet has not held a World Title then a Big Ol KOTR trophy will help solidify their talent and it also prolongs an instant push as a World Champion before they and the audience are ready. Right now I can think of several guys who could benefit from some limelight; Cesaro, Kingston, Rhodes, Clay, Barrett to name but a few would all make great participants in the latter stages of the tournament and give the audience a reason to get behind them. If this was to be done on RAW alone then it simply wouldnt hold the same Big Deal effect and the only way this could be done effectively is if the latter stages of the process are on PPV. If Vince wants the next Stone Cold or Kurt Angle, bringing back the KOTR would benefit everyone involved and would definitely get some butts in seats and buys on PPV.
