WWE: 8 Major Injuries That Ended The Undertaker's Career

7. Burns

Ironically it wasn't in an inferno match that Undertaker suffered painful burns, it was his entrance at the 2010 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Embarrassingly and potentially job costing for whoever was working as stage hand that night, the pyro-technic display malfunctioned in a major way. The scene was worrying for those of us watching live, Undertaker was stood at the top of the entrance ramp when all of a sudden a ball of flames shot up from under his feet. As you would expect, Taker was shocked, he jumped forward as the flames which clung to his legs for a few seconds went out. He then ditched his trench coat which had caught fire and walked quickly to the ring in an attempt to push out the pain. The burns were bad enough to necessitate Undertaker pouring water over himself during the Elimination Chamber match. He still competed that night but was clearly disturbed by the incident. WWE reported it as 'minor burns', but anyone who has seen the footage will tell you there's no way Taker got off with a mere scold. The flames literally engulfed him. It's possible that the burns to his legs did leave some lasting damage.
