One of the early roadblocks in Undertaker's career was the back injury which led to him missing significant periods in the 90's. His first extended sabbatical for wrestling was in 1994 after succumbing to a chronic back injury which he simply couldn't continue to work around. He was written out of WWF storylines at the Royal Rumble, Yokozuna and an array of heels bundled the Deadman into his casket before a video signalled his exit. Undertaker would end up missing WrestleMania 10. It marked the first time Undertaker had to face up to the limitations of his body. He badly wanted to continue working but simply couldn't do it, he needed to take time in order to heal and rehab his back.
