WWE: 8 Wrestlers Set To Be “Future Endeavored” In 2014

1. Jerry 'The King' Lawler

jerry lawler Should Jerry Lawler be let go, I highly doubt that he would be given the familiar 'future endeavors' treatment, but it seems that the process of allowing Lawler to gracefully step away from the commentary desk is well under way. Many speculated that Lawler's heart attack live on Raw in 2012 would prompt him call it a day, but more than a year later he remains a part of the booth every week on Raw. Lawler's best work is far, far behind him, and in fact the obnoxious 'puppies'-obsessed Lawler of the mid-nineties would perhaps not work in today's WWE. His absence from commentary on the 2013 Slammy Awards edition of Raw might suggest that the WWE are trying to gauge reaction to a two man booth of JBL and Michael Cole on Raw. Lawler has begun to seem superfluous in recent months, often finding little to say as JBL offers about as much colour commentary as is required. Lawler will no doubt be remembered for his partnership with Jim Ross, but the reign of the King as a commentator on Raw seems like it will come to an end in 2014.
