2. Batista
It took Batista approximately five seconds to wear out his welcome with WWE crowds during his return this year. It's odd, as ever since he retired, there was a good portion of the fanbase that wanted him back. But as time went on, things started to change. Fans have become sick of acts like John Cena, Randy Orton, HHH and The Big Show in the top spots. They want something new, and have taken hold of Daniel Bryan as their guy. But WWE simply hasn't been listening to the fans. New stars haven't been created. Over the past couple years, it's the part-timers like Undertaker, The Rock and Brock Lesnar who have been pushed as a bigger deal than anyone not named Cena. Well unlike those guys, Batista didn't receive the hero's welcome. It was largely a reaction of indifference, which has turned to downright toxic feelings between him and the crowd. When the 45 year old returned from his four year hiatus, he was wearing clothes that were designed for someone half his age, and appeared to have lost half of his muscle mass. His physique was what got him noticed in the first place, and now it was gone. So why is he here? Worst of all, fans saw Batista as someone who was solely coming in for a big payday and was going to take one of "their" guys spots at WrestleMania. The hostile crowd reactions shouldn't be all Batista's fault, as he came back at a bad time, but he doesn't seem to be doing himself any favors. He told off fans on social media, and flipped off others at a live event. Very few people wanted him to win The Royal Rumble, but we were given it anyway. This is one case where he should have refused the win. He signed a reported two year contract, so we may be in for many more months of this once fun relationship which has suddenly turned sour.
