WWE: 9 Most Conceivable Threats To The Undertaker's Wrestlemania Streak

2. Brock Lesnar

This would have been an even better sell if WWE hadn't watered Lesnar down so much with losses against John Cena and Triple H, but Brock Lesnar is still a great threat to the streak. The WWE audience is notoriously fickle, and the more casual fans will have forgotten Lesnar's losses and will be hooked in again following his attack on Mark Henry on the final Raw of 2013. Lesnar has such an intimidating presence and such a mean nasty look that casual viewers will instantly buy him as a threat to the streak. In the mainstream and occasional MMA fans who watch WWE, Lesnar also acts as a compelling opponent for The Undertaker. The staged staredown that the men had at a 2010 UFC will be the basis for many viewers to believe that this will be a personally charged war. The MMA connotations that surround both men will give the Lesnar vs Taker match a unique selling point that other Taker Mania matches would lack. Some viewers would no doubt genuinely believe that they are watching two men who genuinely hate each other busting MMA holds and strikes out on each other. Ultimately, Lesnar vs Taker is a match that fans will buy as a threat to the streak because no matter how much WWE mishandles Brock, fans want to believe in 'The Beast'.
