British wrestling legend Ricki Starr was aged 83 when he passed away on September 20th this year. He'd been suffering from a short illness. Starr made his name in the 50's, 60's and 70's on both the UK and US circuits. He was one of the first wrestlers to benefit from the advent of television, appearing on various slots throughout his run. He was considered pretty much undefeated in his prime of the sixties and seventies on the UK wrestling circuit. Upon his death, WWE released a statement on their website, praising the star for his use of "balletic" moves in his legendary career.
