http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJLpgrnsFlc Venue: Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan Attendance: 93,173 (allegedly) Perhaps the biggest Wrestlemania of all time took place in 1987 when Hulk Hogan battled long time friend Andre the Giant in front of (allegedly) 93,173 rabid wrestling fans. The early card was another bunch of uninspiring encounters that were over in a matter of minutes including midget match and a rare PPV appearance by the notorious Billy Jack Haynes. The only exceptions to this were the historic Intercontinental Championship master class between Ricky Steamboat and The Macho Man Randy Savage which for many stole the show and The British Bulldogs Vs The Hart Foundation in a classic tag team encounter. For Vince McMahon though the whole reason to watch Wrestlemania III was the moment that Hulk Hogan slammed and pinned the previously (ahem) undefeated and un-slammed Andre to retain his WWF Championship. As poor as the actual match was it remains an all time classic that many of today's top Superstars describe as their favourite 'Mania moment.
