Wrestlemania VII - March 24, 1991

Venue: The Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California
Attendance: 16,158 Wrestlemania VII was this writer's favourite Wrestlemania mainly because it featured Ray Traylor's classic babyface Big Boss Man in his only singles title match at a Wrestlemania PPV against the one and only Mr Perfect. Sadly Boss Man was unable to win the Intercontinental Championship but he looked a million dollars against the fantastic Curt Hennig. Wrestlemania VII will also be remembered forever as the first time The Undertaker ever stepped foot in a WWF/E ring at 'Mania defeating Jimmy Snuka and setting in motion the events that would come to be known as
'The Streak'. Other lower card matches included The Nasty Boys defeating The Hart Foundation for the tag team titles and Randy Savage losing a 'Retirement Match' to The Ultimate Warrior. The British Bulldog, Texas Tornado, Jake The Snake Roberts and Legion of Doom were also featured but the main event pitted then champion Sgt. Slaughter against (surprise surprise) Hulk Hogan. The match itself was forgettable and sloppy but it got the job done and hammered home America's dominance over Iraq in the Gulf War which was the only reason Slaughter ever won the strap in the first place.
