4. Momentum Matters

You would think WWE knew in advance that A.J. Styles was going to be challenging Roman Reigns for the belt at Payback. Therefore, giving him a win at WrestleMania to look like a worthy challenger would have been a solid plan. Instead, he lost to Chris Jericho again, and is now facing a man who beat the almighty Hunter.

This also made the main event of Raw a confusing affair, as Shane booked four men for the number one contendership, despite three of those men losing their matches the night before. Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, The Rock, and Kalisto should all be upset about that ruling. Every other wrestler on the roster must feel foolish for not also interrupting that segment.

Another way the company dropped the ball with wins and losses was how they booked Baron Corbin in his first singles match on Raw. It€™s instances like this where jobbers are badly missed. Corbin should have gone on a tear for months, leaving us wondering how he would hold up against a guy like former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler (remember that?). But they booked him in a back and forth eight minute match, and then expect us to get excited for the rematch.

If only Vince would watch NXT to see how things used to work better.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
