5. Why Didn€™t Shane

So Shane McMahon was outsmarted. Big time. He€™s the dumbest man in all of wrestling, and yet we€™re still supposed to cheer for him being so, so stupid.

Shane had some serious blackmail on his dad, which could have got him control of Raw, the keys to the company, and free sundaes for life. And yet, he put it all on the line to battle a mystery opponent which turned out to be The Undertaker.

Since Shane hadn€™t signed a contract after Taker was announced, he could have still bailed at any time. Sure, it would have hurt his pride, but isn€™t getting a bunch of wrestlers out of the control of The Authority, and career ending injuries more important?

If we look past that, then Shane had the perfect opportunity for revenge when he was given control of Raw for the night by his father. He could have made any match he wanted, and he decided to only book one himself, as the rest were already advertised.

So here€™s the thing, why didn€™t Shane do something like book himself vs. Roman Reigns with Roman not being able to punch or kick or he€™d be disqualified and have to forfeit the title? Then Shane could have held up the company, and got something in return. That€™s how things work in wrestling!

So because of Shane being so foolish, we€™re going to be subjected to Vince, Steph and Hunter controlling the company from here until forever. That kind of makes him the biggest heel in the entire business.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
