I€™d been excited for the former Uhaa Nation to show up on the WWE main roster from the moment I saw him in NXT. He€™s a great talent, and looked ready for the jump almost immediately. But something isn€™t quite clicking right now. He reminds me too much of a young Rocky Maivia, just a smiling, happy-go-lucky babyface who needs a good punch in the mouth. The announcers even point out he has a nice smile! That€™s the kiss of death!

I€™m usually all about debuting wrestlers beating up jobbers for a while (see previous slide), but in his eight main roster matches so far (also, they should slow down on that, the dude debutd on April 4th!) he hasn€™t looked very impressive. His €œfeuds€ are lame so far. Basically The Social Outcasts want him to join them, so he beats them all up, and then Stardust wants to fight him twice, because even though Stardust can€™t beat anyone anymore, he must have thought this was his ticket.

Crews needs something to focus on, we need to know why he€™s there, and what he wants to accomplish. There€™s still plenty of time for him to gain momentum, but these days it€™s always a little worrying when an NXT talent doesn€™t catch on right away, just ask Bo Dallas, The Ascension, Tyler Breeze or Emma.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
