7. Lines Crossed

If Mick Foley was to break the brand split by inviting Daniel Bryan to Raw, it needed to be for something big. It was not. So once again, WWE wasted no time in making a mockery of their recently reinstated split.

Bryan showed up, and the two took turns complimenting each other on their booking of their respective shows. It's a bit interesting that Bryan didn’t call out Foley for forgetting to book a main event for Raw. Had Cesaro not shown up, were they just going to end the show 10 minutes early?

Anyway, what killed interest in the first brand split was wrestlers starting to go on each other’s shows for no real reason. We already had Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton crossing lines, which is fine to promote their match, but management following that trend was unnecessary, and now it only makes it that much longer until the next invasion of a talent means something.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
