6. Hypnotized

Matt Hardy is one of those people could read the phonebook out loud (or whatever the modern equivalent of that saying is), and I would be entertained by it. I don’t know why, but “I knewwwwwww you’d come” gets me every time...because of course they should be there! But this week he took things just a bit too far.

You see, Matt has superpowers. He has the power to hypnotize! Yes, he apparently builds high-tech drones that can drive automobiles in his free time, and for some reason I can't accept that, but hypnotizing a man crosses the line! Why is that? Because if he has that power, then why doesn’t he do it in a match?

It’s why I never liked Kane being able to set things on fire, or Undertaker being able to command lightening or Brodus Clay getting people to willingly dance with it; it just takes things too far into science fiction. More Vanguard 1, less mind control.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
