WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Aug 28)

7. Party Time Dean

Dean Ambrose Wwe Champ
WWE.com

Dean emerged on SmackDown wearing a giant dumb, blue hat. Is this what we look for in a WWE Champion these days? Even John Cena would have vetoed that idea.

Ambrose is so lame that it's hard to process. I just can’t take it! Why in the hell can WWE not figure out how to book this man?

One of the saddest things in recent wrestling memory is Ambrose sounding defeated on Steve Austin’s podcast. You know that he knows that wearing a silly hat isn’t good for his character, but the system has beaten him down so effectively into submission (like so many other wrestlers), that he sees no other choice but to hang his head low and agree to put a stupid hat on his head.

His dialogue in the segment was just as awful, as he said he didn’t know who was wrestling that night and speculated that it could be “Bigfoot vs. a grizzly bear.” It’s just...it’s just not funny. It’s bad, it’s embarrassing and it’s material that wouldn’t be worthy of Bo Dallas, let alone the WWE Champion.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
