WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Aug 7)

5. The Club Is Broken

I feel I write about The Club almost every week here, and it’s not something I look forward to. When Gallows and Anderson first burst through the crowd and beat up The Usos, it was one of the best and most interesting wrestling moments of the year. It left you wondering what their mission was, and who else they were aligned with.

Less than four months later, there’s no interest in the two anymore. They’ve been booked as losers who lose all the time. The Club is 1-6 in their last seven singles or tag matches on TV. Wow. So dangerous! This week they lost in 90 seconds. WWE thinks they got their heat back in their post-match attack, but not really. New Day will come back skipping and joking next week, and The Club will go on to lose some more.

How about instead of the badass heels losing in 90 seconds, the goofball faces lose, so that way THEY need to take the next fight more seriously. That makes a rematch more interesting. Or, Big E can over sell a groin injury, and that will be the focal point of the feud. Injured balls always sell tickets! I’m sounding a bit like Jim Cornette.

Anyway, go back to Japan Gallows and Anderson! I’m not saying that to be mean, I’m saying that so they won’t continued to be wasted in America.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
