WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (August 16)
4. King Of The Garbage
Dixie Carter told fans on Twitter that the King of the Mountain match was coming back, because fans wanted it back. Who are these people? Show yourselves! The entire concept of the match is ridiculous. Instead of taking a belt from a hook, you put a belt on a hook. Why? Also, a cage is involved, but just a little jail-like one, where if you're bad, or get pinned, or something, you go away voluntarily for two minutes. The match makes you suspend your disbelief few other matches in wrestling do. For example, within the first minute of the contest both Chris Mordetzky (the former Chris Masters) and Eric Young were both pinned. When does EY ever lose within one minute? Seems convenient. And why debut Masters by making him look so weak? Well, in the end, PJ Black won the belt, which means hes the king of the King of the Mountain match...which means he can only defend the title in King of the Mountain matches. But why would anyone want that belt? Who would want to compete in that confusing mess of a match night after night? Poor PJ. Poor TNA for sinking to this level, and poor fans who have to watch what this company has become.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
