In wrestling storylines, momentum is key. Great moments happen now and then, but it's the follow-up that keep fans interested, and gets new ones to join in on a potential hot angle. After watching Raw and TLC, we were left with excitement, and some questions we wanted to see answered. Will HHH return to get his revenge? What does Vince McMahon have to say about being knocked out? Well, the company killed a lot of that mystery by throwing Roman Reigns out there to cut his first post-WWE Championship promo on SmackDown, and it was...okay. It was fine. It wasnt top star material, it was just there. Now, by the time Raw comes around, weve already seen Roman on our screens as champ, and no real follow-up with Vince. Did that Superman punch put him in a coma or something? If not, why couldnt he think of some revenge plan over the next three days? The answer is, because its SmackDown, and SmackDown doesnt matter. It was crazy and surprising to see how many fans jumped on the Roman bandwagon at TLC and the next night, but SmackDown couldnt contain that momentum. Its not a fatal blow to his run as the face of the company, but it sure didnt help. Hopefully WWE can figure out their next phase with the show, because right now it seems to be doing more harm than good. Also, it must be noted, at the beginning of the show, Sheamus tried to get Roman escorted from the building per managements orders. Roman then beat up nine guys. Nine innocent men just doing their job, because they work in security. Husbands, fathers, sons, it didnt matter, he beat them all up! I hope they get their revenge on him!
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
