WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Dec 20)

3. Destination€™s End

It€™s hard to think of a wrestling program that was more pointless than this week€™s edition of Impact. We only got two fresh match ups, called €œAll Star Matches€ which featured the losers from the tournament facing each other in giant tag matches. No matter which team won, we wouldn€™t see them for a couple of weeks until TNA debuts on POP. It just felt so pointless. Besides a couple of fresh promos with EC III, Matt Hardy and the final four, it was all recycled material. Who out there was clamoring to see that classic Matt Hardy and Davey Richards bout a second time? How about Eric Young vs. Bobby Roode? Sure, I could Youtube that if I wanted to see it once more, or I could tune into Impact and watch it again. And that was it. This was the end of TNA on Destination America. Less than one year at their new home, and they were told they were no longer welcome and had to get off their porch. Hundreds of thousands of people are no longer watching since the move from Spike, and you can only wonder who else won€™t follow this time around. This has has been a lame duck product for the past few months, and it ended with matches we€™d already seen that were taped months ago. Right now it doesn€™t even feel right to make jokes at their expense.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
