WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Dec 7)

6. Santino€™s Sucky SmackDown!

Is booking matches really so much work that Vince McMahon can€™t be bothered to do it week after week? At the very least, he could just draw random names from a hat to face each other. Actually, that would freshen things up a bit. Well, this week we got a laptop and a manchild running the show. With ratings moving into the 2.7 range that doesn€™t seem like a good business decision. In general, Santino is just so painful to watch. His humor falls flat every single time. The vast majority of sitcoms are terrible, but do any of them have a character that€™s so amazingly unfunny? Maybe that Cody guy from Step by Step? He was pretty bad. Santino is so embarrassing he makes me want to throw myself out my living room window. I haven€™t yet worked up the courage to do it, though. Maybe if I were forced to watch Jingle All the Way 2... Now WWE has decades worth of characters to draw from, so why do they often make the dumbest characters run the show? Take a smart one! The Genius has got to be out there somewhere. He seemed competent. Dean Douglas could do better than booking a ladder match that would have been booked no matter who was in charge. Or how about Jim Ross? I€™d surely rather watch a Ross booked show than a Santino one.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
