WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Feb 12)

3. You Down With DCC? Yeah, Me Neither

DCC Tyrus and Eli Drake
Impact Wrestling

Last week’s episode of Impact ended with the DCC beating the hell out of EC III, Eli Drake and Tyrus. It seemed like the plan was to heat up the heel stable once more. This week the creative team got together and said something to the effect of "screw that, let's make sure no one looks good on the show and then go get some ice cream!"

Tyrus teamed up with Drake to take on the group in a 3-on-2 handicap match to open Impact. It was a mess. It was two teams of heels going against each other, so there was no one to really root for. Then during the middle of the match, Storm began taunting Tyrus by dancing like Brodus Clay. How are we supposed to feel about that? Do we think Storm is cool because he’s being kind of funny? Or do we cheer for Tyrus for shutting him up?

To make things even more absurd, it looked like Tyrus and Drake were going to win the match, which took away all the credibility that DCC picked up last week, but then Drake walked off for no apparent reason, which is way, way too soon for them to tease that. It was a lot going on, and none of it good.

Is anybody even writing this thing? Or is it like the South Park manatee explanation on how Family Guy jokes are conceived? Sometimes it feels like there's a giant manatee in Universal Studios throwing s***ty random wrestling ideas together when it comes to producing Impact.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
