WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Feb 12)

1. Roman And Joe. RIGHT NOW!

Joe was booked in the main event of Raw during his first night as an actual wrestler in the promotion, which was a good thing. But WWE pulled back before we could actually believe he would be a real force of destruction. That's not a good thing.

Joe beat the hell out of Roman by jumping him before their match, but it didn’t matter. Roman was still going to win! The company just had to show us that he was about to hit Joe with the Spear and send him back to NXT! What the hell kind of statement is that?

That is a big part of why people don’t like Reigns. His comebacks defy any form of logic. It feels like nothing up to his comeback even matters (like Hulk Hogan Hulking Up after getting hit with a finisher, which fans eventually grew tired of), because he can shake it off so easily. Reigns' opponent can him him with 30 moves, but Roman can equal that with three of his own.

Further adding onto that is the never ending issue of WWE giving away big matches, because they have an ungodly amount of TV time to fill on a weekly basis and no patience. Reigns vs. Joe was one of the most interesting matches the company could have booked just a week ago. Now we’ve seen it. Why not save it for a couple months down the line for a brand specific pay-per-view? Why not SummerSlam?

By the time they do fight on a major show, we’ll likely have seen it in some variation half-a-dozen times with tag matches and whatnot. Did 73 battles between Cena and Orton teach them nothing?

Time to kick out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
