WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Feb 1)

7. Can You Be More Specific?

"Critics believe that you are hand-picked by the higher ups in WWE." -Michael Cole to Roman Reigns on Raw
Within the terms of storytelling, what does Roman Reigns being hand-picked by the higher ups in WWE mean? Nothing. That€™s what! All we see is The Authority supporting Seth Rollins, not Roman. So that makes no sense. Then on SmackDown, the announcers and Triple H were all about €œthe controversy€ surrounding The Royal Rumble. What controversy is there in Roman Reigns dumping Kane, Big Show and Rusev over the top rope? Yes, in real life fans were pissed that Roman was chosen, but it doesn't translate well to an angle. Hunter promised to make an announcement on Monday regarding the match due to said controversy. Couldn€™t he be bothered to tell us what was so controversial? What€™s he supposed to say, that his father-in-law chose Roman to win the match? Roman even asked his boss to his face what the problem was, and Hunter had nothing. This basically means that WWE wants a few days to think of something. Well, since WWE didn€™t bother saying what the controversy was, it€™s clear that they mean Curtis Axel never entering the match is what everyone is up in arms about. That must mean the Rumble is still going on somewhere!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
