Shane McMahon's return is easily my top wrestling moment of the year so far. If only for the simple fact that I didnt have to watch Stephanie open another show. I wouldve popped for Bo Dallas had he interrupted. Shane's music playing, and shuffle dance onto the stage was one of those incredible moments that we sit through all the garbage for. His tears and genuine emotion were touching, and it was an electrifying segment...until it ended, and the logic of it all fell apart. Shane basically hinted that he could own Raw if he wanted to right now. Something, some mysterious lock box! When his dad offered him a match he should have said No. YOU have to wrestle a match at WrestleMania and win it if you want to stay in control. Second, Shane should have been terrified at the mention of The Undertaker, because hes a 46-year-old dude who hasnt wrestled in years, and The Undertaker is The Undertaker. Third, why would Taker agree to fight FOR Vince? Maybe that will be addressed, But someone should have at least brought that question up. Also of note, the only person to get one over on Stephanie McMahon since Survivor Series 2014 is, of course, a fellow McMahon. Not Dean Ambrose, or Roman Reigns, or a Brock Lesnar. A McMahon. Well, the big angle did succeed in making WrestleMania more interesting, but hopefully they can clear up at least some of the glaring problems before then. Since this is WWE, though, the odds of that happening are virtually no chance in hell! Oh wait.. Ive already used that line.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
