WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Feb 28)

6. Ryback Turns

Ryback has had enough! He€™s sick and tired of competing in pointless tag matches (along with 95% of the roster). Well, he should be tired of competing in singles matches too since he loses like half of those, but that€™s not the point! The tag matches at Fastlane, and on Raw the next night are what finally broke him. To be fair, tagging with Big Show and Kane could probably do that to anyone. Even Ricky Steamboat would have turned on us if he was subjected to that fate. Well, it€™s only been like a year-and-a-half since Ryback€™s last turn, and that went pretty terribly for him. Poor dude. His first run as a babyface hit a wall when the company didn€™t go all in on him, and wouldn€™t let him capture the WWE Title. His second run started off well enough, until they decided he€™d be better off as a guy who loses all the time instead of a Goldberg-type killer. There€™s really no reason to think another turn as a heel will go any better. Unless the company has some sort of master plan for Ryback, they should have taken a look at his tag partners in Kane and Show to know how badly uneventful, often occurring turns like this pan out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
