WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Jan 24)

Cunningly setting expectations ridiculously low for Royal Rumble 2016...

This week in the world of professional wrestling, Vince McMahon, a recent cover man of Muscle and Fitness had trouble opening up two plastic balls. Was this his most embarrassing on-air moment since blowing out both quads in the 2005 Royal Rumble? Maybe January just isn€™t his month. It was time to finish strong with Rumble hype this week, but WWE went out of their way to show us that this is all just a big fake when we were greeted with a video on Raw of a happy Rusev taking pictures with fans, and a smiling Charlotte playing cricket. Is there possibly anything dumber you can do to get people excited in your product? After the last two Rumbles, maybe they just want expectations to be as low as they can get. That way when R-Truth wins we won't be upset. I often hand out worst line of the week here, but this time I€™m going with best! Something about Rusev€™s claim of €œIn Bulgaria, everyday is a Rumble!€ hit me in all the right places. Well, the praise ends there, because that's not what we're here for. So let€™s get ready to open those balls (or ask Stephanie for help if we're not able to), draw our numbers and officially enter ourselves into WWE and TNA's worst of the week!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
